Czars Part II

Energy czar Carol Browner- Made between $1 and $5 million last year as a lobbyist for Downey McGrath and until the POTUS picked her to be a czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.

Urban czar Adolfo Carrion, Jr.- charged taxpayers more than $13,000 a year for his membership in the County Executives of America and the Bronx borough president office spent $24,000 on overnight travel for conferences and other meetings in fiscal years 2007 and 2008. The other four borough president offices spent a combined total of $2,750. $87,212 for three Toyota Priuses for the borough president office staff. $8,121 for picture frames and mats.
$1,700 to buy and install "blue fabric" to cover a podium. $690 on gold-sealed business cards. Carrión also set aside $250,000 for a new "mobile BP office" from the millions in capital funds allocated each year to the borough president offices.

Infotech czar Vivek Kundra- Only a week after his appointment, FBI agents raided Vivek's former offices and arrested two amidst an ongoing investigation into kickbacks, forcing the White House to put him "on leave."

Faith-based czar Joshua DuBois- Supports a president who thinks it's ok to kill infants and wished to only reduce the number of abortions instead of criminalizing them.

Health reform czar Nancy-Ann DeParle- was paid more than $6 million, and served as a director of half a dozen companies that faced federal investigations, whistleblower lawsuits and other regulatory actions. Many of these companies have a stake in the health care reform that she is leading.
Can you say, "conflict of interest?"
