Rehberg Introduces Bill to Mirror Montana's "Right to Keep and Bear Arms Week" At Federal Level

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg,  today introduced a resolution to mirror Montana’s “Right to Keep and Bear Arms Week” at the Federal level.  The resolution supports the establishment of a week to celebrate the natural right to keep and bear arms – a right protected from government infringement by the Second Amendment.

“When it comes to making Washington look more like Montana, one of the most important ways is the fundamental respect for individual liberty, “ said Rehberg, who is the only member of Montana’s delegation with an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association rating and an A+ rating from the Gun Owners of America.    “Unfortunately, there are some folks in powerful places back in Washington who don’t think the right to keep and bear arms is something we should be protecting.  They’re working behind closed doors to find ways to restrict those rights and take away our guns.  This resolution is a great way to spread the message loud and clear that as long as I’m around, your Second Amendment rights will be protected.
