Over the past few weeks, the blog has experienced a very sharp increase in visits and page views. I expect it has mostly to do with the media created sensation over the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman shooting. I wanted to talk about how ABC and NBC News are now under intense scrutiny over their broadcasting of heavily edited footage regarding George Zimmerman.
Once upon a time, the old media aka the mainstream media use to be able to get away with their altering of the facts in order to promote their ideological and political agenda. The late great news anchor journalist Walter Cronkite use to give his famous sign off phrase "and that's the way it is". These days however, the media is less inclined to report the news the way it is, they now are more focused on shaping the news so that it will be "the way they want it to be".
