The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, 7 took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.
I'm asking you to forward this webpage to a minimum of twenty people on your address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
8. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

Great work and just what America needs to do because in the not too distant future we will be destroyed if Obama isn't removed from office. America is at @$61.6 trillion in obligations/$534,000 per household. Morals and ethics in DC/govt, combined with greed/corruption/inefficiency, is the reason Obama hasn't been indicted. Obama is destroying American businesses, ruining their ability to compete for jobs by undermining innovation, education and their ability to build. And global competition for business/jobs is paramount to save America, but impossible with Obama and company sabotaging the effort through his appointees.
ReplyDeleteAmerica must ASAP remove Obama, czars and appointees to restore interstate competition to make America good for Americans to do business again. And removing Obama will end the job killing moratorium on exploration/drilling for offshore oil, domestic energy production, and that result will increase national security. Congress allows this leftist, Jew hating, Christ hating, Capitalism hating traitor in the Whitehouse. And elected officials have not stopped Obama from bypassing the legislative, reshaping policies, abusing executive power, and abusing the constitution. The people need to step up efforts because the GOP are not taking the people, the midterm message seriously. Both Democrat/Republican campaigns get politicians elected and in spite of who wins its always business as usual, election after election, America’s debt and undermining of the Constitution a bit worse off each election, until Obama arrived put this backward trend in Overdrive. Obama has to be removed to address the challenge they can no longer afford to endure....America being worse off each election cycle from meaningless elections where the progressives and RINOs are destroying Americas chance to rebuild wealth by the average citizen. The only productive thing the Obama Presidency will ever provide for America is his Presidency along side Hitler, Stalin and FDRwill be used to teach history.
Replacing Obama is unfortunately only one step to subdue the NWO elites, so the people can FIX CONGRESS and start to force government to obey our Constitution/Rule of law. As of now the Constitution is abandoned in Washington. Americans must understand the Communist, radical, extremist ties to Obama now, before he flips the internet kill switch! There is no hope for change with so many traitors in power in D.C. making the rules to decide the consequences for disobeying their own oath. Americans need to create the collective for a Grass-Roots Movement that hopefully will induce the creation of a 2012 platform supported by that majority, only then can they reclaim what Govt has destroyed and or stolen.
